Do carry snacks, packed lunch, wrapped sandwich and a refill water bottle. This will help you cut down the additional cost at the top. There are restaurants at the base station where you can also buy and keep some stock. Carry water bottle and refill it. Tap water is safe to drink

The Single journey tickets and tickets bought only for Mount titlis is not cost effective unless you plan to spend couple of days in Engelberg region. Titlis is located in Engelberg which is only 45 minutes by train from Lucern. The train journey itself is scenic with long & large see through windows.

10 to 15 minutes by walk, you will reach the base station of Mount Titlis. There is also a free shuttle bus from the station.

After reaching the base station, you can buy tickets or use your travel pass (we had Tell pass) to get into the cable car which takes you to the intermediate station. The Rotating cable car will then take you to the summit @3200m

Rotating Cable Car (Included in Pass)

You will not miss it. Titlis got the world’s first revolving cable car lifting passengers from the intermediate station to the peak! This uplift is of maximum thrill and also gives you the best views from the top. We had issues with mist cover blocking our view one way. The return was very good.

The Rotair spins 360 deg, so everyone in the lift will get a fair share of 360-degree view of the surrounding Swiss Aps.

Snow park (Free Activity)

Snow tubing is our all-time favourite fun activity. All you have do is lie or sit back and ride down the slope as many times as you want. Need to carry the tube again to the top though

Cliff Walk: (free activity)

The TITLIS Cliff Walk holds the record for being the highest suspension bridge in Europe. There is a 500m free fall and the bridge stands at the height of 3000m. Its length is approx. 100m long

Glacier Cave: (free activity)

Glacier cave is said to be 5000 years old and easy to spot when you reach the top. Passing through the glacier cave, you will enter the open top area of Mt. Titlis

Ice flyer Chair lift: (Included in pass)

This will take you to the top of the summit for skiing. Or you can take the lift up and down. The views are simply superb. Just don’t look down

We found this restaurant at the base station. You can grab a quick lunch and dine in. Prices were ok. We loved the hot samosas and the masala chai
